I am forever fascinated with ancient jewellery, which is a constant source of inspiration in my work. Most of the time this is not obvious, as I always filter things through my own lens, but there are times when I like something so much, that I MUST try to replicate it. This is one of those times. To be honest, I didn't completely succeed in replicating the real thing (which you can see in the 9th picture, in gold version) but I am pretty proud of my own version.
So here it is, a Laurel wreath* sterling silver ring, ready to ship in sizes 7 and 8 1/2 (they are technically sizes 7 1/2 and 9, but due to the width of the band it will fit best sizes 7 and 8 1/2).
Width of the band is approximately 11 mm.
So far I made it only in these two sizes, other sizes are possible but is will take about 4-6 weeks fabrication time. Contact me if you'd like one in another size!

*A laurel wreath is a symbol of victory and honor. It is a circular wreath made of interlocking branches and leaves of the bay laurel (Laurus nobilis). (...) In Greek mythology, Apollo is represented wearing a laurel wreath on his head. In ancient Greece wreaths were awarded to victors, both in athletic competitions, including the ancient Olympics made of wild olive-tree known as "kotinos" (κότινος),[1] (sc. at Olympia) and in poetic meets; in Rome they were symbols of martial victory, crowning a successful commander during his triumph. Whereas ancient laurel wreaths are most often depicted as a horseshoe shape, modern versions are usually complete rings. (source: Wikipedia)
